Fantastic night out
28 August 2016
Not being the biggest fan of musicals, the many shows I have seen previously have been somewhat under duress. Matilda appealed a little more knowing the music was by Tim Minchin but I wasn't expecting such a spectacular evening. The music complimented the story perfectly. The stage show was wonderful. And the whole Performance was executed to perfection by the cast with the ideal mix of humour and darkness required of a Roald Dahl tale. I find most musicals fudge tacky songs and contrived stage shows to cover a second rate story. Not so in Matilda. This was a night out to remember. I cannot rate it highly enough.

My wife & me were debating whether to go for Lion King or Matilda & are glad we chose the latter. What a brilliant performance it was from the whole cast. Absolutely breathtaking & worth every pound.

Matilda is a fabulous family fizzer. It has strong tunes, witty lyrics and enough ‘eew!’ moments to satisfy the most revolting urchin.
